Mal Meninga will wait until later in the year to decide whether Greg Inglis will regain the Australia captaincy after he was charged with drink-driving and speeding.
Inglis was on Monday named as skipper for the Tests against New Zealand and Tonga later this month.

However, the South Sydney Rabbitohs centre was suspended for both matches the following day after falling foul of the law, with Sydney Roosters forward Boyd Cordner picked to lead the side instead.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Kangaroos coach Meninga refused to confirm whether Inglis will be restored to the role once he has served his ban.
"He stuffed up. He has made a poor error of judgement and he has paid the price for it,” Meninga said.
He added: "I just want to see Greg have a really strong off-season and start the season really well for the Rabbitohs.
"He will lead Queensland next year and then we will make some decisions at the back-end of next year about who our captain will be.
"I have great admiration for Greg. I highly respect him, love him dearly ... and he was very excited about the role."
