Is Dean Ambrose turning heel? That was the big question after Monday's WWE Raw.
The Shield lost to Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler in a six-man tag team rematch from WWE Super Show-Down, and Ambrose, who was pinned for the defeat, walked out on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
It was an unexpected development especially to Rollins, who had claimed that Ambrose would never turn his back on the team during an interview with Astro Supersport host Mark O'dea prior to last week's WWE Super Show-Down in Australia.
Quizzed about who in the team would turn heel next, the current Intercontinental Champion picked himself without any hesitation.
"It’s because I’ve already done it, and I have so much faith in these guys [Reigns and Ambrose] that they would never do it, that I would have to be the one most likely.
"If the odds are out there, they got to be for me. And I’m not saying it’s going to happen, because I love my boys, and I’m glad to be back with them.
"These guys are [Shield] through and through, they’ve never given me a reason to believe they’d turn their back on me, and I’m the only one who has made the mistake," he said.
