Liverpool bounced back from their disappointing 0-0 draw with Manchester United by thrashing Watford 5-0, while newly crowned Carabao Cup winners Manchester City took home all three points against West Ham United thanks to Sergio Aguero. 

As for third-placed Tottenham, they fell further behind in the title race after losing 2-0 to Chelsea, who are now seven points behind Spurs with one game in hand. Arsenal and Manchester United also benefited from that result following their respective wins.
