The U.S. Women’s National Team clinched a spot in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Sunday by rolling past Jamaica, 6-0, in the semifinals of the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship in Frisco, Texas.
It marks the eighth consecutive World Cup appearance for the U.S., which won titles in 1991, 1999 and 2015.

It didn't take long for the Americans to assert control Sunday against Jamaica, as Team USA scored inside the first 10 minutes in its fourth consecutive game at this tournament.
Tobin Heath found the net only 100 seconds into the game and added another goal later in the half for her second career multi-goal game.
Megan Rapinoe scored on a beautiful finish in the 15th minute to expand the U.S. lead to 2-0, and Julie Ertz and Alex Morgan also scored to give the U.S. a 5-0 lead at halftime.
How dominant was the Americans' first half? Team USA outshot Jamaica, 15-1.
Substituting freely, the U.S. continued control the pace of play in the second half. The only goal of the second 45 came by a penalty kick awarded to Morgan, who buried the shot for her 96th international score.
The U.S. will face Canada at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday for the 2018 CONCACAF title. Canada defeated Panama, 7-0, to earn its berth at the 2019 World Cup.
"Just because we qualified for the World Cup doesn't mean we're going to take our foot off the gas," Alex Morgan told reporters (via The Associated Press). "We want to win this tournament, and we always think of playing Canada as an important game for us."
Panama faces Jamaica earlier Wednesday with the winner of that game claiming CONCACAF's third automatic bid to the 2019 World Cup and the loser heading to a two-game play-in against Argentina in November.
The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup is scheduled for June 7-July 7 in France.
