PKNS manager Mahfizul Rusydin Abdul Rashid has not ruled out a move for former striker Gabriel Guerra.
The Argentine, who was released by Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) alongside Gonzalo Cabrera ahead of the 2018 season, played for the Red Ants between 2015 and 2016 before moving south to help the Southern Tigers win the Malaysian Super League and Malaysia Cup double.
According to Mahfizul, due to the 24-year-old's previous successful stint at the club, he is an attractive option to replace the departed Patrick Wleh.
"If Guerra is ready to discuss, PKNS will be interested to retain his services," said Mahfizul.
"He is a quality player and someone that PKNS really need."
Meanwhile, Mahfizul also confirmed that Nurridzuan Abu Hassan, Faidzat Ghazali and K. Reuben have agreed to join PKNS as part of their rebuilding process, which focuses on players aged 24 and below for the new season.
Besides that, former national head coach K. Rajagobal is expected to be named as their new head coach in the coming days.
"This is all part of our long-term planning for the team," he added.
"We feel with the credibility of the new coach, who will be revealed soon, he will be able to improve the team."
