Mesut Ozil appears to have underlined his commitment to Arsenal in a tweet in the wake of his exclusion from the squad for Wednesday's loss at Manchester City.
The 31-year-old – who was not even on the bench for the Gunners' 3-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium – posted a picture of him holding the Arsenal badge on his shirt, along with the words: "No matter what ...".

Ozil has played 19 times in the Premier League this season but was not included by Mikel Arteta for Arsenal's first game back in action following the suspension of the season.
Despite Premier League rules now allowing nine substitutes to be named by each team following the coronavirus-enforced break, the former Germany international was a notable omission for the clash with the reigning champions.

Asked why he had left Ozil out in the aftermath to the defeat in Manchester, Arteta said: "It was tactical."
Ozil has scored once in all competitions during a 2019-20 campaign that has seen a change of head coach at Arsenal, Arteta returning to Emirates Stadium to take charge following the departure of Unai Emery.
