Sarawak boosted their Malaysian Super League survival chances with a vital 4-2 win over Kedah in the penultimate gameweek of the league season on Wednesday.

The Crocs, who found themselves behind 2-0 at half-time in Kuching following goals from Ken Ilso Larsen and Baddrol Bakhtiar, turned the table in the space of 10 minutes.

Nur Shamie Iszuan began the home side's comeback by scoring in the 53rd minute before Mateo Roskam followed it up with a quickfire double to take a 3-2 lead.

It got worse for the visitors with Baddrol being sent off in the 74th minute, which was taken full advantage of by Sarawak to net the final goal of the night through Hairol Mokhtar.

The win, coupled with Kelantan's 0-0 draw with PKNS, allowed them to climb out of the relegation zone and swap places with the Red Warriors, taking the relegation battle to the final day of the season.

As for bottom-of-the-table Penang, their relegation was confirmed in a 1-0 loss to Perak, whose solitary goal came from Nizad Ayub.

The relegation dogfight, however, does not only involve Sarawak and Kelantan.

T-Team, who will face Sarawak on the final day, are just three points above the drop zone after losing 1-0 at home to Pahang, who strengthened their grip on a potential AFC Cup spot next season with Matheus Alves' 18th league goal of the season.

Unlike the Titans, Melaka United will go into the final day worry-free after securing their top-flight status for another season with a 2-1 win over Selangor.

A defeat would've seen them stuck in a similar predicament as T-Team because they will face Kelantan on October 28, but Jasmin Mecinovics and Marko Simic ensured that would not happen with first-half goals.

Rufino Segovia Del Burgo tried to muster a comeback for the Red Giants with a goal in the 58th minute, but Melaka hung on to earn the all-important win.

In a Malaysian Premier League match also held today, PKNP, who missed out on automatic promotion, beat Kuantan 3-1 with goals from Kim Hyun-woo, Ritus Krjauklis and Hamizul Izaidi Zulkifli after initially going behind to Shunsuke Nakatake's goal.
