The Malaysia national football team have moved up by four rungs to claim 154th spot in the latest FIFA World Rankings.
The ranking improvement came following the Harimau Malaya's recent victories against Tajikistan in a friendly match as well as Thailand and Indonesia in 2022 FIFA World Cup/2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
Japan remained as Asia's number one at 28th, followed by Iran (33rd), South Korea (41st) and Australia (42nd).
Vietnam (94th) retained their spot as the top team of Southeast Asia, followed by Thailand (113rd), Philippines (124th) and Myanmar (136th).
Malaysia's other regional neighbours were as follows: Singapore (157th), Indonesia and Cambodia (173rd), Laos (188th), Brunei (191st) and Timor Leste (196th).
