Thomas Frank laughed off suggestions Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo could leave the club in January, amid reports of potential approaches from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Mbeumo has been in fine form for the Bees this season, netting 10 goals in 18 Premier League appearances, while also laying on a further two assists for his team-mates.

The Cameroonian has also created the most chances (31) for Brentford this campaign, leading to speculation around his future at the Gtech Community Stadium.

But speaking ahead of the Bees' clash with Arsenal on New Year's Day, Frank is determined to keep hold of his star man, and issued a warning to clubs interested in him.

"In January? I would say good luck," the Brentford boss said. "We love Bryan. He loves playing here. He has had a fantastic season, so nothing will happen."

Mbeumo made the move to Brentford in 2019 from French side Troyes, and has since made 221 appearances in all competitions, scoring 60 times.

The Bees midfielder has 18 months left on his current deal, but will be fully focused on continuing his impressive record against teams in the capital when he faces Arsenal next.

Mbeumo has been involved in 14 goals in his last 15 Premier League London derby matches (12 goals, two assists), but he is yet to score against the Gunners in six attempts..
