Cristiano Ronaldo's Fellow Countryman Now the 'Most Hated Person in All of Portugal'?

Fans admit it was hard to watch Joao Felix being at Hard Rock Stadium to watch Argentina's Copa America victory. But why is that so?

Lautaro Martinez's extra-time goal ensured Argentina's triumph over Colombia, ensuring La Albiceleste defended their title won in the previous Copa America, securing three championships in the last three years for the current world champions.

What caught the fans' attention though, was Joao Felix, Ronaldo's teamate who made an appearance to watch the final.

The player, on loan to Barcelona, had previously received heavy criticism for missing a penalty when Portugal was eliminated by France in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals.

Portuguese and Ronaldo fans didn't seem to take this well, with some labelling Joao Felix as the "most hated guy in Portugal right now." Some even joked that Joao Felix deliberately missed the penalty so he can watch Messi in action, calling him a "Messi fanboy".

Felix as Messi's fan does not come as a surprise though, with Felix previously snubbing Ronaldo for Messi when asked about his favourite squad.
