Andrea Cambiaso insists he has "never asked" to leave Juventus amid growing speculation of a move to AC Milan or Manchester City.

Versatile Juve defender Cambiaso remains under contract in Turin until 2029, though reports in recent weeks have linked him away from the Allianz Stadium.

The 25-year-old played a key part in Igor Tudor's side last season, having appeared 42 times across all competitions, chipping in with two goals and four assists.

And Cambiaso says his full focus remains with Juventus for the upcoming campaign, despite suggestions that Man City could rekindle their interest after being linked with a January move.

"I haven’t received any call, maybe my agents have," said Cambiaso when asked about his future by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The only certain thing in life is death, but I’m happy here. I haven't spoken to Tudor, but I know the club and the coach hold me in high regard.

"I feel everyone's trust. I’m happy in Turin and I’ve never asked to leave."

That admission may be music to the ears of Tudor, who will hope Cambiaso is once again an integral figure for the 2025-26 season.

Only Manuel Locatelli (78) made more tackles than Cambiaso's 38 among Juve players last campaign, while only Khephren Thuram, Dusan Vlahovic (both five each) and Kenan Yildiz (six) provided more assists.

Their efforts helped Juve recover to finish fourth in Serie A, with Tudor rewarded by a new contract extension until 2027.

"When the coach arrived, the goal was to qualify for the Champions League, so he fully deserved to be confirmed. He made a great impression on us," Cambiaso added.

"He helped us through a tricky moment when there was no time for experiments. We just had to achieve our objective, so he focused a lot on the mental aspect and did an excellent job.

"Now things will be different. We’ll have a preseason with him and will be able to work more on tactics. We’ve already had a taste of it. We’re all very happy to continue with him."

Juve are next in action when they meet Al-Ain in their Club World Cup opener on Thursday, though Cambiaso is unsure what to expect.

"We don’t even know ourselves because it’s the first time," he added.

"It will be a surprise, but just being here for the first time is great. We’re all definitely tired, but playing is our job, and it’s a beautiful thing."
