Ethan Nwaneri created Premier League history as the youngest player to feature in the competition after making an appearance in Arsenal's 3-0 win at Brentford on Sunday.

The young Gunner, who was 15 years and 181 days old, came on as a substitute towards the end of the game.

Nwaneri, who also became the first player below the age of 16 to play in the English top flight, beat the previous record by roughly seven months, set by former Fulham youngster Harvey Elliott (16 years and 30 days old) who now plays for Liverpool.

Goals from William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira secured the victory over Brentford and sent Mikel Arteta's side back to the top of the Premier League table, after being temporarily dispossessed by Manchester City.
