National shuttler Soh Wooi Yik confirmed he is not leaving the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) to shut down any rumours, but added he is open to a new partner.
Soh simply shook his head when asked if it crossed his mind about leaving the national set-up, shutting off any remaining rumors of his departure since he changed his status to ‘professional shuttler’ on his social media account.

But the national men’s doubles star was open to a new partner in Man Wei Chong for the upcoming Thomas Cup.
“He plays like (Chirag) Shetty. Both of us are of the equal height,” said Soh with a laugh.
The Soh-Man combination may be only tested out in the Thomas Cup group game against Turkiye, where Malaysia are likely to romp to a whitewash victory.
Against England, it will definitely be Soh-Aaron Chia who will be out to avenge their defeat against Ben Lane-Sean Vendy last year.
If Soh does indeed get paired up against Man, then Chia may combine with Man’s partner Tee Kai Wun against Turkiye which would make for an interesting watch.
Besides Turkiye and England, Malaysia will also play Japan at the Thomas Cup group stage.
