As expected, Malaysia overcame Finland 4-1 to confirm their Thomas Cup quarter-finals berth on Monday, but the loss of Leong Jun Hao is a big concern.
The first men's singles, who was rested against England on Saturday, shockingly lost 17-21, 15-21 against Joakim Oldorff.

The Finnish shuttler is a promising talent who reached three finals last year and won a title, and the 23-year-old comfortably disposed a below-par Leong in 43-minutes.
His performance will ring alarm bells ahead of the showdown in the final group game against Japan, where the world number 25 is bound to face Kodai Naraoka.
Thankfully for Malaysia, Justin Hoh and Lee Zii Jia delivered wins in the next two matches, before Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin confirmed victory.
Hoh beat Kalle Koljonen 21-14, 21-12, before Lee earned his second win in this team event with a 21-19, 21-10 win over Ananda Galvani.
Goh-Izzudin also won their match in straight games, before the new pairing of Soh Wooi Yik-Tee Kai Wun beat Galvani-Alvar Melleri 21-7, 21-14.
This win means Malaysia are through to the quarter-finals, having also overcame England 3-2.
The national team will face Japan to confirm the Group B champions spot, where victory could also possibly secure an easier tie in the knockout-round.
