The JOOLA Titans Tour 2026 concluded its Kuala Lumpur stop with a historic milestone at Merdeka 118, where Andre Agassi and World No.1 Ben Johns headlined the highest pickleball match ever played in a building at Level 118 — now officially recognised by Guinness World Records™.

The two-day event also drew about 2,000 spectators to Stadium Juara, delivering a high-energy showcase of world-class pickleball and fan engagement, and reinforcing Malaysia’s growing position as one of Asia’s most dynamic markets for the sport.

Held in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia in support of the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign, the event highlights Malaysia’s positioning as a vibrant and diverse destination for international sporting events and lifestyle tourism, while demonstrating the country’s capability to host globally significant, large-scale experiences.

The defining moment of the Kuala Lumpur stop unfolded at Merdeka 118. Set against the Kuala Lumpur skyline, Team Agassi faced Team Ben Johns in a specially curated showcase, bringing together the sport’s biggest global names alongside rising Asia-Pacific talents in a format designed for both intensity and spectacle.

The showcase culminated in a high-intensity “Dreambreaker” finale, where players rotated in a race to 18 points — delivering a dramatic and unpredictable finish that kept energy levels high until the final rally. Together, the match set a new global benchmark for pickleball, marking a defining moment not just for the sport, but for Malaysia’s presence on the international sporting stage.

As night fell, the Kuala Lumpur skyline came alive with a synchronised display of lights, drones and pyrotechnics, transforming Merdeka 118 into a beacon of celebration and drawing widespread public attention to a defining moment for pickleball in the region.

The inclusion of Merdeka 118, one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks, further underscores the country’s unique urban experiences — aligning with VM2026’s efforts to showcase Malaysia’s world-class infrastructure, cultural vibrancy and readiness to host global events.

“The response in Kuala Lumpur has been extraordinary. From the historic moment at Merdeka 118 to the energy at Stadium Juara, this stop reflects not just the growth of pickleball in Malaysia, but its potential as a major sporting and cultural platform across Asia," according of CEO of APAC JOOLA, — Tom Nguyen.
