Malaysia’s rising men’s doubles pair Aaron Tai Wei Qin and Kang Khai Xing kept their impressive run going at the Swiss Open after securing a place in the quarter-finals with another stunning victory.
The young Malaysian duo delivered a composed performance to defeat Indonesia’s pair in the round of 16, continuing their giant-killing streak in the tournament. Their victory ensured the pair progressed to the last eight of the BWF World Tour Super 300 event held in Basel, Switzerland.

Aaron and Khai Xing started their campaign strongly earlier in the tournament by defeating another Indonesian pair, Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Rahmat Hidayat, in straight games to book their place in the second round.
The Malaysian pair, currently ranked world No. 27, have been steadily building their reputation on the international stage after emerging as one of the country’s most promising young partnerships.
Both players, who were crowned boys’ doubles champions at the BWF World Junior Championships, have continued their upward trajectory with strong performances in senior tournaments.
With momentum on their side, Aaron and Khai Xing will now face Denmark’s pair Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard in the quarter-finals as they aim to extend their remarkable run in the tournament.
If the young Malaysians can maintain their current form, they could well spring another surprise and push their way into the semi-finals — further cementing their status as one of the most exciting emerging doubles pairs in world badminton.
