Oliver Wilson lapped up a case of mistaken identity when he was congratulated for Oliver Fisher's record-breaking round while sitting at home on the couch.

Fisher became the first player to shoot a 59 on the European Tour to move into a share of the lead in the second round of the Portugal Masters on Friday.

Fellow Englishman Wilson is not playing in Vilamoura this week, but received a message from David Howarth on Twitter saying: "Nailed it. Well batted @Oliver_Wilson #59watch."

Wilson was putting his feet up at the time after playing in the Kazakhstan Open on the Challenge Tour last week, but was happy to accept misdirected praise.

"Thanks David. Absolutely delighted. Loving getting these messages at home on the couch. #mr59." replied Wilson, who has won two titles in his career but is now 493rd in the rankings.
