Wendell Carter Jr says the Orlando Magic believe they have "enough" to beat anyone after breezing past the New York Knicks on Monday.

The Magic were given a big lift off the bench by Carter, who scored a season-high 19 points in their 103-94 win, shooting 8-of-11 in 26 minutes.

Orlando held a slender lead at half-time before creating some separation in the third quarter and held out against the Knicks' late attempts at a fightback.

The Magic were without key players, with their four top scorers, Paolo Banchero, brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner and Jalen Suggs all out through injury.

However, Carter believes the team can overcome obstacles due to the confidence they have, especially with their squad depth.

"Our motto since losing first, Paolo, then Franz and then Jay Suggs, we feel like we have enough to compete with any team in this league," Carter said.

"That's been our staple since those guys have gone down, and we live by that. Win, lose or draw, we feel like we can hang with the best of them in this league. We showed that [on Monday] and moving forward we will until those guys return.

"From the very first start, I remember our first game in Miami. We played a really good game and got a really good win, and I remember sitting on the bench talking to one of the assistants saying, 'This team is scary'.

"We can roll out any five and compete. The proof is in the pudding now. We've competed and won against some of the top teams in the league, so it's just a belief system.

"When you get out there, it's man against man. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but when you've got confidence, it goes a long way."

Cole Anthony was the standout performer for Orlando on Monday, adding 24 points to help inflict a third consecutive defeat on the Knicks, who could not overcome the absence of Karl-Anthony Towns.

"Moes [Mauritz Wagner] keeps telling us we have enough," said Anthony. "We have enough, and I think more and more each night as a team, we believe it.

"We always did [believe it], but the belief is becoming stronger, and I think that was apparent."

The Magic are fourth in the Eastern Conference, with the Minnesota Timberwolves up next on Thursday.
