The final 10 laps of the Daytona 500 may as well be called a demolition derby.

According to Fox Sports, only six lead-lap cars made it through the third major wreck of the day Sunday with two laps remaining. Ryan Blaney, who led 118 laps on the day, appeared to turn reigning Daytona 500 champion Kurt Busch by breaking the draft as the leaders entered Turn 1.

Busch spun up the track and collected a number of drivers including pole-sitter Alex Bowman, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Newman and others, 12 cars in total to force overtime in the Great American Race.

Last year in the Daytona 500, 35 of the 40-car field were involved in a wreck in some way or another. Sunday's race has seen five major wrecks collect a number of stars including Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Danica Patrick, and Brad Keselowski.
