Warriors' Steve Kerr reportedly to become one of NBA’s highest paid coaches

Warriors coach Steve Kerr is getting a raise.

Golden State and Kerr agreed to an extension Friday, according to a report from ESPN. Kerr’s new contract is expected to make him one of the highest paid coaches in the NBA, the report says.

Kerr, 52, became the Warriors coach in May 2014. Golden State has won three NBA titles and reached the Finals four times during Kerr’s tenure.

Kerr discussed a possible contract extension after the Warriors swept the Cavaliers to win the 2018 NBA Championship (via The Athletic).

Kerr has registered a 265-63 record in the regular season. He won five championships as a player with the Bulls and Spurs.
