Wakefield Trinity hauled themselves off the foot of the Super League table in convincing fashion as they claimed an emphatic 48-18 win over fellow strugglers Hull KR, with Ben Jones-Bishop scoring a hat-trick.

Chris Chester's side endured a nine-game losing streak following the resumption of Super League in August, while they also went down to Catalans Dragons in the Challenge Cup.

However, Trinity snatched a late win over Huddersfield on Thursday and, in their first match on home turf since March, ran riot against Rovers on Sunday.

Jones-Bishop was the star with three tries, while Reece Lyne went over twice for the rampant hosts.

Trinity were 26-0 up by the interval and, although Jordan Abdull, Jamie Ellis and Ben Crooks scored for the visitors either side of Jones-Bishop's third try of the game, Adam Tangata, Ryan Hampshire and Eddie Battye sealed back-to-back wins for Wakefield, who are now up to 10th.
