Towns recorded 40 points and 16 rebounds in the contest, but did not return after leaving the court in his team's overtime victory.

He leads the Timberwolves in points per game (24.2), rebounds per game (12.2) and blocks per game (1.7).

Minnesota is 31-35 and sits at 10th in the Western Conference standings. It will face the Knicks on Sunday, potentially without its star player.
