Leeds Rhinos eased their relegation fears with a 10-0 Super League victory at Wakefield Trinity and Peter Mata'utia's drop goal gave Castleford Tigers a golden-point extra time win over Huddersfield Giants.

The Rhinos claimed a huge win over bottom side London Broncos on Magic Weekend and followed that up by seeing off Wakefield in the pouring rain at Belle Vue on Friday.

Tuimoala Lolohea sprinted 75 metres to score the only try of the game after intercepting a stray pass from Kelepi Tanginoa in the second half.

Liam Sutcliffe was on target with three penalties and winger Harry Newman produced an inspired display as the eight-time Super League champions moved level on points with Wigan Warriors and four clear of the Broncos.

Mata'utia was on target seven minutes into extra time to give the Tigers a 27-26 victory over the Giants at The Jungle.

Lee Gaskell's hat-trick was in vain as Grant Millington's late converted try brought Castleford level and Mata'utia settled it.

Hull FC withstood a Salford Red Devils fightback to win a thriller 35-32, with Pauli Pauli and Jake Bibby scoring two tries apiece.
