Perlawanan Royal Rumble Wanita sah akan berlaku

Usaha WWE untuk meletakkan divisyen wanita setaraf dengan lelaki diteruskan apabila Pesuruhjaya Raw, Stephanie McMahon mengumumkan yang perlawanan Tempur Raksasa Diraja Royal Rumble khusus untuk bintang wanita WWE akan diadakan buat pertama kali di acara WWE Royal Rumble 2018 pada 29 Januari depan.
Pengumuman ini dibuat semasa segmen terakhir acara Raw semalam, di mana bintang-bintang wanita dari Raw, Smackdown Live dan juga NXT akan bertarung sesama sendiri bagi merebut tempat sebagai pencabar utama Kejuraan Wanita di acara Wrestlemania.
Semasa laporan ini ditulis, belum ada pengumuman rasmi berapakah peserta yang akan terlibat. Adakah ia akan menyamai perlawanan Rumble untuk lelaki iaitu 30 orang? Atau hanya 20 peserta sebagaimana format pertama perlawanan Rumble pada 1988 dahulu?
Format penyingkiran juga dijangka tidak berubah di mana para peserta dihendaki untuk menyingkirkan lawan mereka dengan menghumban bintang lain dari tali paling atas gelanggang. Sebelum ini, perlawanan Battle Royal melibatkan penggusti wanita hanya memerlukan mereka membuat penyingkiran dari tali kedua dan bukan wajib untuk keluar dari tali paling atas.
Pengumuman ini nyata menggembirakan bukan sahaja buat penggusti wanita sedia ada, malah turut dikongsi oleh beberapa lagenda dan bekas juara seperti Beth Phoenix, Trish Stratus, Lita dan Michelle McCool. Tidak mustahil, nama-nama hebat ini juga bakal dimasukkan sebagai peserta kejutan bagi memberikan saingan yang lebih sengit.
