The victory for the Russian side, who lost to Secret in the Upper Bracket Finals and had to overcome Evil Geniuses in the Lower Bracket, denied a home win for Team Secret's Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng, who was a crowd favourite as he was the remaining Malaysian player left in the country's first-ever Dota 2 Major tournament.
VP drew first blood before their opponents took a 2-1 lead with strong performances by Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat and MidOne in Game 2 and 3 respectively.
Secret looked favourites to seal the KL Major crown in Game 4 with good early plays, but Roman "Ramzes666" Kushnarev inspired a late comeback for VP by outfarming his opponents with his usage of Terrorblade.
Ramzes666 struck again with Terrorblade in the decisive game to seal the Major and US$350,000 for his side, while Secret as runners-up took home US$170,000.
