Emmanuel Mudiay was always going to be the odd man out in Denver and now he is on his way to New York.

According to ESPN, the Knicks acquired the 2015 No. 7 overall pick from the Nuggets in a three-team trade involving the Mavericks.

Denver, New York and Dallas agreed on a three-way deal, league sources tell ESPN. Mudiay to Knicks; Devin Harris to Denver and Doug McDermott to Dallas.

The Nuggets will receive guard Devin Harris in the deal as well as a second-round pick from Dallas, and the Mavericks will get forward Doug McDermott.

Mudiay never really developed with the Nuggets as his jump shot suffered and he was relegated to second fiddle with the addition of Jamal Murray in the 2016 draft.

However, in New York he will certainly get a chance at some playing time as the team is still trying to bring along rookie Frank Ntilikina and phasing out veteran Jarrett Jack.

Also, with the injury of Kristaps Porzingis, there will be plenty of shots to go around for every player.

Mudiay is a career 37.5 percent shooter and is averaging 8.5 points per game this the season. McDermott is putting up 7.2 points while Harris is also scoring 8.5.
