Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said that Kawhi Leonard's injured ankle will keep him out of Game 3 Saturday night against the Warriors, according to ESPN.

Leonard injured his ankle in Game 1 after landing awkwardly when Warriors center Zaza Pachulia contested his jumper. It's the same ankle Leonard injured in the playoff series against the Rockets. The injury kept him out of Game 2.

ESPN reports that Jonathon Simmons will start in Leonard's place. He scored 22 points in 26 minutes in Game 2.

The Warriors lead the series 2-0. Game time is 9 p.m. ET.
