Hill, who has been dealing with back spasms, last played for Cleveland in Game 3 of its opening-round series April 20.

Hill was sent to the Cavaliers in a three-team trade Feb. 8. Cleveland also acquired guard Rodney Hood in that deal. Hill finished the regular season averaging 10 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.

Hill played 23 minutes and scored 13 points in Cleveland’s Game 3 loss to the Pacers. He has been replaced in the starting lineup by Jose Calderon, who has combined for just 11 points and two assists in Games 4 and 5.

LeBron James knocked down a 3-pointer at the buzzer Wednesday to give the Cavaliers a 3-2 lead over the Pacers in their opening-round series.
