Will Barton will continue to wear a Nuggets uniform.

Denver and the 27-year-old guard have agreed to a new four-year contract, worth more than $50 million, according to a report from Yahoo Sports. Barton averaged 15.7 points and 4.1 assists per game last season.

Barton will hold a player option in the fourth year of the contract, according to ESPN.

One nugget (sorry): deal will give Barton a player option in Year 4, sources say. Good deal for Barton in this market, but Nuggets were smart to get (at least) 3 years on it. Barton's good, deal will age well as cap rises/more teams clear room. https://t.co/CT6J1Oyhn5

Barton turned down a a four-year, $42 million extension with Denver in October, according to a report from ESPN.

Barton was originally picked in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Trail Blazers. He spent a season and a half in Portland before he was dealt to Denver in Feb. 2015.

Barton signed a three-year, $10.6 million contract with the Nuggets in July 2015. He has averaged 14.2 points and 5.1 rebounds in 251 games with Denver.

The Nuggets finished 2017-18 with a 46-36 record and missed the playoffs for a fifth straight season. They reportedly agreed to a five-year contract extension with star center Nikola Jokic earlier this week.
