The Hawks are apparently leaning toward using their third overall pick in Thursday's NBA Draft to select Slovenian star Luka Doncic.

Doncic has "elevated to the forefront of the Hawks' internal discussions," according to ESPN, citing unidentified league sources.

It's been speculated Deandre Ayton and Marvin Bagley III will likely go 1-2 to the Suns and Kings, respectively. However, ESPN notes if the Kings pass on Bagley, that could change who Atlanta picks No. 3.

It has also been reported if Doncic doesn't go to the Hawks, the Mavericks have "targeted" him with the fifth pick.

Doncic, 19, is coming off a Spanish league championship win and is expected to travel to New York to be one of 20 players sitting in the green room at Barclays Center, ESPN reported.

The 6-8 guard became the youngest to win a EuroLeague MVP last season as he averaged 14.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists over 61 total games.
