The Magic are interested in hiring Michigan State's Tom Izzo as their next head coach, according to The Athletic.

This isn't the first time the NBA has enticed Izzo, as he flirted with the Hawks in 2000 and the Cavaliers in 2010. He's been Michigan State's head coach since 1996 and has taken the Spartans to seven Final Fours and won the 2000 national championship.

However, Izzo faced scrutiny this year for his handling of past sexual assault claims made against his players.

While the Spartans were knocked out of the NCAA Tournament in the second round this year, they did capture their eighth Big Ten title under Izzo.

The report did not state whether Izzo was interested in leaving the Spartans, but the Hall of Fame coach said earlier this year that he had no intentions of leaving Michigan State.
