Joey Logano won the pole for the First Data 500 set to take place at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday.

Logano, who earned the pole for the second time this season, won at Richmond earlier this year but NASCAR took away the playoff implications from the win after his car failed inspection.

Martin Truex Jr. was the top playoff driver in second with Chase Elliott third, Ryan Blaney fourth and Clint Bowyer rounding out the top five.

The race is the first of three events in the Round of 8 in NASCAR's playoffs. Truex leads the way heading into the round with 4,069 points, followed by Kyle Busch with 4,042 points and Brad Keselowski (4,026 points).

The First Data 500 begins at 3 p.m. ET Sunday and airs on NBCSN and the NBC Sports app.
