Michigan State beat Georgia 80-68 Sunday in a hurricane relief exhibition game.
Playing in Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich., with a sold-out attendance of 10,699, the Spartans cruised to victory on the strength of Miles Bridges' team-leading 21 points.
Michigan State, projected to contend for a national championshipthis this year after Bridges decided to stay in school, and Tom Izzo reeled in five-star forward Jaren Jackson Jr., closed the first half on an 11-0 run to take a 40-31 halftime lead and never looked back.
Georgia power forward and Michigan native, Yante Maten, led all scorers with 33 points.
This was Michigan State's second exhibition win, after narrowly defeating Division II Ferris State earlier this week.
