McDowell grabs lead in Dominican Republic

Graeme McDowell charged into the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship lead after firing an impressive eight-under 64 on Saturday.

The 2010 U.S. Open champion is in position for his fourth PGA Tour win and first since 2015 after improving to 15 under in the Dominican Republic.

McDowell finished with 10 birdies and two bogeys in the third round, enough to grab a one-stroke lead heading into Sunday.

Chris Stroud also produced a 64, the American's round featuring six birdies and an eagle at the par-five fourth

South Korean Im Sung-jae, the overnight leader, and Australian Aaron Baddeley are a shot further back after firing 69 and 68 respectively.

Mackenzie Hughes (66), Sepp Straka (67), Kelly Kraft (68) and Paul Dunne (70) are at 11 under.
