No. 11 Loyola (Ill.) sent the first shockwave through the 2018 NCAA Tournament Thursday, stunning No. 6 Miami with a last-second 3-pointer.

Donte Ingram etched his name into March Madness history with a buzzer-beater to give the Ramblers a 64-62 win. The refs put 0.3 seconds back on the clock, but Miami could not get anything done on the late heave.

The Ramblers, in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1985, were led by Clayton Custer's 14 points. Ingram added 13 and Aundre Jackson had 12 off the bench.

Lonnie Walker IV led Miami with 12 points, but he lost the ball late in the game, allowing Loyola a chance to take the lead. The Hurricanes were playing without star guard Bruce Brown (foot).

While the nature of Loyola's win was shocking, the upset itself has become common in March Madness. Over the past five NCAA Tournaments, 11 seeds are 11-6 against 6 seeds.
