Malaysia won the Dodgeball World Championship once again after beating Australia 10-5 in the men's foam final in Edmonton on Sunday.
It was their third men's world title after previously winning it in 2017 and 2018.
Led by men's Most Valuable Player Carlos Goonting, they topped their group with four wins and one draw, and saw off Canada in the semi-finals en route to the final.
Malaysia also won a silver medal in the mixed foam event, while the women's team, who were winners in 2016 and 2017, narrowly missed out on a medal finish as they lost to Australia in the bronze medal decider.
"This is a great honour for Malaysia as we celebrate our 65th Merdeka Day and also Malaysia Day.
"As President of Malaysian Association of Dodgeball (MAD), we are very proud of our teams' achievements as we faced some of the world's best teams.
"MAD targeted two gold medals but to achieve one gold and one silver, we are still very grateful to the teams.
"I would like to thank the Ministry of Sports (KBS), National Sports Institute (ISN), Berjaya Corporation, Black Box and all other sponsors for their undivided support.
"I also want to thank our coaches for their excellent work on preparing our team," said MAD president Radha Krishnan.
The Dodgeball World Championship did not take place in the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
