It's a new season for Lonzo Ball.

Aside from joining a new team, the Pelicans guard is also sporting a new jump shot he's been working on throughout training camp.

"I've been working on it all summer — as soon as I could get back on the court — trying to get it on the right side," Ball told reporters Wednesday, via USA Today, adding the change "just happened gradually. After all the hours we put in, (I) just started moving to the right side and it’s looking better and better every day."

If the transition is smooth, Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said the team would like Ball to improve his 3-point shooting. He shot 30.5 percent on 3-pointers as a rookie and 32.9 percent last season, but the team would like him to hit 35 percent this season.

"He’s worked his butt off," Gentry said. "I think Lonzo’s shooting the ball well, and I told him the major part of his thing is his confidence and consistency."

Even if Ball doesn't perfect his shot, he's certainly mastered the alley-oop to teammate and rookie sensation Zion Williamson.
