Marc Leishman made it two eagles in as many days as he and Jason Day extended their lead at the QBE Shootout.

Leishman had holed out for eagle on the 10th during the Australian pair's 16-under-par first round.

And, in Saturday's modified alternate shot format, he repeated the feat from 96 yards at the par-four seventh.

Leishman and Day finished eight under par to move to 24-under ahead of Sunday's third and final round, which will be a four-ball format.

Despite two stellar rounds, Leishman and Day have plenty of work to do to secure the title, with three teams only three shots behind in tied second.

Defending champions Harris English and Matt Kuchar are in that group, along with the teams of Jason Kokrak and Kevin Na and Billy Horschel and Sam Burns.
