Larry Nassar, a convicted sexual predator and the former USA Gymnastics team doctor and a physician at Michigan State University, has been moved from the federal prison in Tucson, Arizona, to a holdover facility in Oklahoma City.

According to The Detroit News, which first reported Nassar's relocation, he will likely be transferred to another federal prison after he was assaulted in May. The assault happened when Nassar was released into the general population. He had been in that facility since being convicted of child pornography charges in 2017. He has since been sentenced for multiple counts of sexual assault, faces decades in prison and will likely never be released.

On Sunday, the Federal Bureau of Prisons website listed Nassar as being at Oklahoma Federal Transfer Center after spending just six months in the high security prison in Tucson.

Along with news of the transfer, the Free Press also reported 50 new lawsuits against Nassar have been filed since the original settlement.

Michigan State agreed to pay $500 million to survivors of Nassar's abuse. Now, MSU officials said in a court filing Friday they have been notified by several others that suits are coming. The deadline to file suit against Michigan State is less than a month away, Sept. 10.
