The Los Angeles Lakers are set to acquire Dennis Schroder from the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to reports.

Per ESPN, the NBA champions will send the 28th overall pick in Wednesday's draft and Danny Green to the Thunder in exchange for guard Schroder.

The Lakers could lose backcourt duo Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley in free agency, while Schroder has one year and $15.5million left on his contract.

Los Angeles are understood to be acquiring the 27-year-old with the intention to agree an extension to keep him at Staples Center.

Schroder averaged 18.9 points and 4.0 assists as Oklahoma City reached the playoffs in the 2019-20 season despite trading away Russell Westbrook and Paul George. They lost to the Houston Rockets after seven games in the first round of the postseason.

Green, who also won the NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, averaged 8.0 points and 1.3 assists last term.

The deal could be completed on Monday and would give the Thunder the 25th and 28th picks in the draft.
