The Knicks will be without All-Star hopeful Kristaps Porzingis on Tuesday when they take on the Warriors.

New York announced Tuesday that Porzingis hurt his left knee in practice Monday when he went up to block a shot. He woke up Tuesday morning with pain and determined he would not be able to play.

Kristaps Porzingis (left knee irritation) and Kyle O’Quinn (contused left calf) are out tonight.

"You’re in the middle of practice, you don’t really feel it, you know he did something but you’re fine," coach Jeff Hornacek told reporters Tuesday (via NorthJersey.com). "Then you wake up the next morning and it’s, ‘Oh my goodness.’ I’m sure that’s typically what happens.’’

Hornacek said he hopes Porzingis will be back for the Knicks' game Thursday against the Nuggets. Backup center Kyle O'Quinn also is out for Tuesday's game.

New York has lost 12 of its last 16 games after starting the season 17-14.
