The New York Knicks are nearing the end of their coaching search.

New York recently interviewed Warriors assistant Mike Brown and are now finished speaking with candidates, ESPN reported. The team is aiming to hire its new head coach by the end of the week.

According to ESPN, the Knicks have interviewed 11 total candidates, including former Cavaliers coach David Blatt, former Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer and former Grizzlies coach David Fizdale to replace Jeff Hornacek, who was fired in April after two seasons.

New York is also considering current ESPN analyst Mark Jackson, Heat assistant Juwan Howard and Raptors G League coach Jerry Stackhouse, among others, the report says.

"I think this is a very desirable place and job, and I think a lot of candidates will see and understand the vision that we have, the type of people that we are," Knicks general manager Scott Perry said to ESPN last month.

The Knicks were 29-53 in 2017-18 and missed the playoffs for a fifth straight season. Star forward Kristaps Porzingis tore his ACL in February and is not expected back until at least midway through next season.
