Kim Sei-young clinched her maiden major title with a resounding five-stroke victory at the Women's PGA Championship on Sunday.

The South Korean carded a brilliant seven-under 63 in the final round at the Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania.

Kim, 27, finished at 14 under, five shots clear of countrywoman and seven-time major winner Inbee Park.

The new champion had eight previous top-10 finishes in majors, including twice being a runner-up, before finally breaking through.

Kim – who held a two-stroke lead overnight – made three birdies on the front nine before finishing strongly with birdies on four of her final six to charge away for victory.

Japan's Nasa Hataoka (64) finished in a tie for third with Carlota Ciganda (65) at seven under.

Anna Nordqvist (71) was further adrift at four under, while Brooke Henderson (72) ended up in outright sixth, a shot further adrift.
