Kawhi Leonard's relationship with the Spurs appears to be on the mend.

The star forward has been estranged from San Antonio in recent months but is expected to meet with coach Gregg Popovich as early as this week, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

According to the report, which cited an unidentified source, Leonard is still rehabbing his quad injury but is "at 96, 97 percent" in the healing process and ready to proceed with the team pending a new deal.

It was reported last week that both sides were eager to meet before the NBA Draft, which is scheduled to take place June 21.

Leonard appeared in just nine games for the Spurs last season and reportedly had a tense relationship with the team, though a number of sources claim he has expressed interest in staying in San Antonio.

Leonard, 26, signed a five-year contract worth more than $90 million in 2015. The two-time All-Star has averaged 16.3 points and 6.2 rebounds during his seven seasons with the team.
