In-form Scotland came from behind to secure a 28-17 bonus-point victory over Italy in their Autumn Nations Cup opener on Saturday.

Gregor Townsend's side extended their winning run to five matches at Stadio Artemio Franchi, but were in danger of suffering a surprise defeat at the hands of a youthful Azzurri side.

Matteo Minozzi's try put Italy in front at half-time and Paolo Garbisi's third penalty gave them a 14-7 lead early in the second half.

Scotland improved after the break, though, with Zander Fagerson, Scott Cummings and George Turner going over after Duhan van der Merwe crossed in the first half to seal maximum points in Florence.
