The International Cricket Council (ICC) have expressed their concern over the future of the Kinrara Oval.
It was revealed earlier this month that the Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) received a notice to vacate the cricket ground in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, by the end of October to make way for land redevelopment.
Since then, the cricket fratenity in Malaysia and around the world had been rallying for the decision to be reversed.
Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Malaysia's Youth and Sports Minister, previously tweeted that talks to save the Kinrara Oval had been underway.
However, with only days remaining and no positive development, it prompted the international cricket body to release an official statement on Sunday.
"Cricket in Malaysia is flourishing with the number of players in all age groups growing and the ICC welcomes the intervention of the Minister of Youth and Sport and we are hopeful a sustainable solution can be found.
"The ICC will continue to support Malaysia Cricket and hopes the Kinrara Oval will remain an international cricket venue," said chief executive David Richardson.
