This means that not only will Drew be the coach for the rest of the season, but he will have some cushion for the next season, as well. He would get a buyout settlement if the team doesn't bring him back next season, the report says.
Drew took over head coaching duties after Tyronn Lue was fired amid the Cavaliers' 0-6 start.
Under Drew, the Cavs have won one game and lost two entering Monday's game against the Magic.
