Popovich moves into fourth on all-time NBA coaching wins list

Gregg Popovich has added another historic milestone to his already impressive resume.

With Tuesday's 111-86 win over the Suns in San Antonio, the Spurs coach moved past Pat Riley and into fourth place on the NBA's all-time wins list.

Popovich now has 1,211 victories in his 23-year coaching stint with the Spurs. He trails only Jerry Sloan (1,221 wins), Lenny Wilkens (1,332) and Don Nelson (1,335).

While Popovich was his usual modest self, third-year guard Bryn Forbes, who led the Spurs with a season-high 24 points and career-best 11 rebounds for his first career double-double, spoke highly of his coach after the game.

"I'm just blessed to be able to learn from one of the greatest ever, if not the greatest ever," Forbes told reporters. "There's not a lot of people that can say they've done that. Just to be a part of it is huge."

The Spurs (14-14) will look to extend their three-game winning streak when they host the Clippers (17-10) at 8:30 p.m. ET.
