Pandelela Rinong and Cheong Jun Hoong won a gold medal in the women's 10m synchronised platform final at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on Wednesday.

Leong Mun Yee and Nur Dhabitah Sbari (308.16) edged past Australian pair Teju Williamson and Melissa Wu by just 0.36 point to bag their second bronze medal of the day, having finished third in the women's three-metre synchronised springboard event earlier today.

It was Pandelela's second Commonwealth Games gold medal after her 10m platform victory at Delhi 2010, and and Cheong's first ever medal of any colour at the Games.
Their accomplishment also marked Malaysia's third gold medal in Gold Coast, after national weighlifters Azroy Hazalwafie Izhar Ahmad and Aznil Bidin contributed two, and 11th overall.
Meanwhile, their male counterparts were unable to add to Malaysia's overall medal tally from the men's one-metre springboard event.
Syafiq Puteh, Ahmad Amsyar Azman and Ooi Tze Liang finished fifth, sixth and 11th respectively as England's Jack Lauger, Australia's James Connor and Scotland's James Heatly completed the podium.
