Former NBA player Ben Gordon was arrested Monday on felony robbery charges at the Los Angeles apartment complex where he once lived, TMZ Sports first reported.

According to the report, Gordon attempted to get his security deposit back, but the apartment manager claimed he didn't have access to the money. Gordon then threatened and punched the manager in the face before being given a portion of the deposit.

Gordon later returned to the property with a knife to obtain the remainder of the deposit, but the manager had already called police and they arrested Gordon upon his return.

Gordon is due to appear in court Dec. 19 after being booked and eventually released Tuesday on $50,000 bail.

The Chicago Sun Times noted that Gordon previously had been arrested in June for pulling fire alarms at the same Los Angeles apartment complex.

Gordon, 34, was selected by the Bulls with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft and led the team in scoring four consecutive seasons from 2005-06 to 2008-09. He went on to have stints with the Pistons, Bobcats and Magic throughout his 11-year career before playing his last NBA game in 2015.
